surfers 4 autism

CottonKingInc is a sponsor for Surfers4Autism so Weston and I had the honor and pleasure of being apart of this amazing event!
{Joy all around!}
It was a day full of happiness and excitement! It was pure joy to see these kids on surf boards smiling and laughing with their friends and family.
I over heard one parent say that this was the best day of their lives!
if you think about it, it probably is. its the one day where these children are not the "white elephants"
... we are.
 everyone is simply there for them and in honor of them.
everyone is aware of them.
and loving on them
the parents and family members can sit back and just take it all in!
to me this was the perfect beach day! and the perfect way for me to spend my saturday!

DEERFIELD BEACH About 200 screaming, splashing, laughing kids hit the surf near the Deerfield Beach pier on Saturday and you would never know these children were autistic.
An estimated 3,500 people attended the 'Fourth Annual South Florida Surfers for Autism' event that is designed to teach autistic children how to surf. But it does much more than that, according to Don Ryan, president and COO of the faith-based Surfers for Autism Inc.

"A lot of them will start to vocalize to their parents for the first time. It's one or two or three word sentences, but it's groundbreaking," Ryan said. "For them to come out and say 'Mommy, ocean' or 'Mommy, surfboard' or 'Mommy, I love you,' it is one of the most powerful and moving things I've ever experienced in my life. People are dropping to the sand crying because of what has happened."
